Wintertime in Edmonton can bring all kinds of weather, and sometimes we just get stuck at home to avoid the cold. In 2015 so far we've had heat, rain, snow and arctic cold, and lately some great sunny winter days. A good time to grab the family, and get out there and have some fun.

Edmonton has a few places where people can enjoy the outdoors in winter time. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

The Snow Valley Ski Club located in Whitemud Park at 119 Street is offering two terrains for beginners and advanced level to ski, snowboard, enjoy events, or take a lesson.

The Edmonton Ski Club offers ski runs for all skill levels, a challenging terrain park, ski and snowboard lessons for children and adults, kids snow day camps, school programming, and group rental opportunities for the community.
